Description
The Philodendron Glorious Mutant is a breathtaking hybrid — a cross between the velvety Philodendron Melanochrysum and the sprawling Philodendron Gloriosum. The result is an exceptional foliage plant with large, heart-shaped, deep green leaves with a remarkable velvety texture and contrasting pale veins.
This particular ‘mutant’ form produces leaves with unusual and irregular patterns, making every plant a one-of-a-kind collector’s piece. It is highly sought after by serious Philodendron collectors worldwide and is rarely available from international suppliers.
Why collectors love it:
• Extraordinary velvety leaf texture unlike most other Philodendrons
• Large, dramatic foliage that makes a statement in any plant collection
• A genuine hybrid rarity — not widely available outside specialist Indonesian nurseries
• Robust grower once established
Care Guide:
• Light: Bright indirect light. Avoid direct sun which can damage the velvet texture.
• Water: Water when the top layer of soil dries. Ensure excellent drainage.
• Humidity: Thrives in 60%+ humidity environments.
• Climbing: Provide a moss pole for best growth — this is a climbing Philodendron.
